  • The CUSD Foundation Raffle tickets are available at the attendance window. Students earn $2.50 for each $5.00 raffle ticket they sell. The money earned is applied to the purchase of the student’s graduation gown and/or 8th grade trip. The current cost for a graduation gown is $20.00 while the 8th grade trip is $60.00. A student who sells 32 raffle tickets would earn $80.00 to pay both of these expenses.

     

  • Hey 7th grade Sharks! Are you looking to get more involved at BK next year? Do you want to help plan and organize school events such as rallies, school dances, and spirit days?  Applications are currently being accepted for next year’s ASB!  You can get an application from Ms. Sevick or your learning director.  The deadline has been extended to February 9th! Make sure to apply today!

     

  • Hey BK Students, remember that time you had to stay up late doing homework? Or when you got yelled at for walking on the grass? Or that super hard quiz? Well wouldn't it feel great to give that special teacher in your life some payback without getting in trouble? Well now you can! Mark your calendars because next Thursday on February 9th the Baking Club is having a Pie in the Face Fundraiser! During both lunches you will have the chance to pie Teachers and Staff for just $1! You can pie them as many times as you want! Make sure to bring your money!

     

  • There are 2 openings for Girls Softball – Grade 8 only.  There are tryouts for these spots, come out on Monday weather permitting to tryout.

  • The 8th grade boys basketball team beat Dutcher yesterday 43-19.  Jonathan V had 1 points.  Angel Z had 2 points.  Xavier V. had 4 points.  Jaeden M. had 5 points.  Alejandro B and Amari T both had 6 points.  Leading all score with 19 points was Sergio Solis.  Sergio was put in the starting lineup and he took advantage of the minutes given to him making 5 three pointers in the game.  Congratulations, great team WIN.

BK’s Biggest Reader will be having a contest within the contest!   The same rules apply you must read, read, read and find an administrator or Mrs. Kline that can ask you a few key questions about your book.  Last but no least fill out the survey form!  This contest will begin today and end Friday at 3 pm.  Prizes will be awarded  on Monday to the 5 students that read the most pages by Friday.  This week's biggest readers will be awarded front of the line passes or awesome BK swag items!  Don’t miss out!
